More Than Just A Motor
Try this: Straddle a few different eMTBs, turn off the electric assist and give them a go. Are they still fun to ride? PIVOT did a whole lot of that during the Shuttle’s R&D process. The answer was usually, “Nope.” Many of the bikes tested were cumbersome, cranky…In a word, meh.
If you turn off the motor on the Shuttle, what do you have? Essentially, a rowdier version of the singletrack-loving Mach 5.5 trail bike. The Shuttle pedals exceptionally well. It carves the tightest corners. It absolutely rips technical descents. Now, turn on the Shuttle’s motor and what do you get? You get the same awesome things—with the ability to ride a whole lot further. Epic rides get more, well, epic. Heinous climbs just stop being heinous. In a word, rad.

Riese & Muller recommits to getting all riders on bikes with the 2019 Riese & Müller Nevo GH Vario. This wave frame commuter allows for a riding weight of up 353 pounds. The powerful Bosch Performance CX motor assists riders up to 20 mph, while the Nuvinci 380 hub provides a gear ratio of 380% which means you'll hardly feel any hills. This years model comes with the option of upgrading to 1000 watt hours of battery life so that your ride can last all day. Magura MT4 hydraulic disc brakes provide riders with probably more stopping power than necessary, but it's an incredible touch to a perfect bike. As always, you'll stay comfy and upright and take on bumpy roads easily with your Suntour XCR32 fork.
