Cube 2020 Stereo Hybrid EMTB Launch

If Cube didn't impress you enough with last year's Stereo Hybrid 140 SL eMTB, let it be known that the 2020 Hybrid model was engineered for greatness- on the mountain, or off. This year, Cube has designed each eBike around the beloved Bosch Gen 4 Motor- one of the best available- and the beautifully integrated Bosch Powertube 625 battery. Elegance meets comfort within the Stereo Hybrid's patented Agile Trail Geometry. We're talking seriously great suspension, carbon frame, and aggressive angles on your head and seat tube. Let me be clear: the HPC Race 140 model is in Scott's list of top-five favorite eBikes. This baby delivers. Plus, the rest of the lineup is completely versatile- combining the practical components of a great commuter bike with every added variant that makes for a glorious eMTB. I implore you to keep reading, so you can get your fix on all of the great details making up Cube's 2020 Stereo Hybrid lineup. If you're short on time, or your reading skills deceive you, a fine video will suffice.

 A Versatile Lineup

Cube released three different suspension variants of the Stereo Hybrid model; They're calling the 120 their "Allrounder," with a beastly Allroad edition that accommodates with added accessories for a swift work commute, along with protective mudguards for an off-road ride. The 140 suspension, AKA "The Trailhunter," is a fantastic option for just about any eMTB enthusiast. It's the optimal choice for those seeking a cross-country, flowy single-track bike. Whether you're a new rider, an intermediate, or choosing between a steep mountain slope and a casual roadside experience, the 140 class is all-inclusive. Coming in hot is "The Racer," Cube's 160mm full suspension variant. This class of bikes is among their most aggressive, recommended for those looking to endure some ruthlessly steep descents with greater absorption. Looking for an enduro joyride? This beast handles the uphill without slugging. Let's take a look at all the dirty details!

No matter which model you choose, I love that Cube has designed the 2020 Stereo Hybrid around Bosch's Gen 4 Motor and 625 Wh battery. Way to keep up with the market, Cube. To be sweet, they offer the good old 500 Wh version for every model- but why wouldn't you want more hours of kill-time on an eBike with "Agile Trail Geometry?" That's right. Cube has changed the chassis for 2020. Their patented design offers more aggressive seat and head tube angles, shorter chainstays, some superb suspension from Fox and Rockshox, and a dropper seat post, elegantly placed within a sturdy carbon frame. The result: efficient climbs, optimal stiffness, playful performance, and sleek riding.  To boot, they've accommodated with a semi-integrated seat clamp, a 1.5" straight-through steerer, push-button release and hidden lock, plus oversized bearings and chainstay protection with integrated cable routing. Combine this with the torque and battery power you can only expect from Bosch, and you're on a bike to be reckoned with.

Fly Rides has conveniently narrowed down your choices.
